Mar Thames is a copywriter, multimedia journalist, and documentarian working at the intersection of collaborative news-based projects and personal explorations of her own history.

Mar constantly questions the environments she’s in and has developed a keen eye for the stories around her. She has experience in video and photo production, and previously produced work for ABC News, Good Morning America, and Mic.com. She associate-produced the HBO Max documentary A Revolution on Canvas and currently works for UGG as a copywriter, where she’s spent the last 3+ years leading product naming and broadcast email writing, and contributing to campaigns that reach millions of people. She approaches her work with the belief that everyone should have a stake in their story being told.

Mar graduated from The New School with a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design and a BA in Journalism + Design from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts.
