Mar Thames is a multimedia journalist and documentarian working at the intersection of collaborative news-based projects and personal explorations of her own history.

Mar constantly questions the environments she’s in and has developed a keen eye for stories that live around her. She has experience in video and photo production, and previously produced worked for ABC News, Good Morning America and Mic.com. She recently associate produced HBO Max documentary, A Revolution on Canvas, and currently works for UGG as a copywriter. She approaches her work with the belief that everyone should have a stake in their story being told.

Mar graduated from The New School with a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design and a BA in Journalism + Design from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts.
